June Maxine Raymond's Obituary
June Maxine Raymond, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on May 15, 2026 at the age of 82. June was born on January 2, 1944, in El Dorado, Kansas.
In 1967, June and her husband Don moved to Hawaii, where they built a life together and family. June devoted her professional life and service as the Chief Financial Officer for Hawaii Loa College, Boys and Girls Club of Honolulu, and the University of Hawaii Foundation. Although her daughters lived on the mainland, family remained at the center of June's life. June found joy in frequent calls with her daughters and delighted in seeing pictures and watching videos of her grandchildren, whose lives brought her immense joy and pride.
June will be remembered for her enduring charm, beauty, strength, wit, and caring spirit. She left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Survived by her husband Don Raymond of 61 years, her daughters Julie Moffet (Mitch) and Christie Matthew (Josh), and four grandchildren Ellie & Harlie Moffet and Malia & Micah Matthew. Preceded in death by her parents Myrl & Ruth Pitcher, her brother John Pitcher, and her grandson Miles Matthew.
A visitation will be held on July 3, 2026 at 2:30pm with a Celebration of Life Services at 3:00pm at Kailua United Methodist Church, 1110 Kailua Rd. in Kailua, HI. Reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her grandsons trust, Miles Raymond Matthew Trust for pediatric cancer research. Donations may be sent to the Kailua United Methodist Church in the form of a check made payable to KUMC Foundation, with Miles Raymond Matthew Trust noted in the memo line.
