Junedale "Aunty Coleman" Virginia Coleman's Obituary
Celebrating the Life of Junedale Virginia Coleman, also known as "Aunty Coleman." She was born on July 5, 1929 in Honolulu.
A loving sister, aunt, cousin and friend who passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2015, at the age of 86.
She retired as a Specialist from the State of Hawaii, Family Court Detention Home, after 43 years of loving service to children. All she ever wanted to do was to show children there was another side of life than they knew. She loved all the boys and girls of Detention Home and always prayed for them.
Junedale received two awards: a Distinguished Service Award and a Certificate of Service Award.
She was a very compassionate and loving sister, aunt, cousin and friend who will be terribly missed. She was always there when you needed her. Her sister, Jacque, will dearly miss her loving smile and laughter that they always shared. Jacque shared, "When you look up in the sky, she will be the brightest star in the sky. Goodbye my dear sister and friend. God bless you Junedale."
She is survived by her brother, William (Pearl) Coleman and sister, Jacque Coleman; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Junedale's Celebration of Life service will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church on Saturday, January 9, 2016; visitation to begin at 8:30 a.m., Mass at 9:00 a.m., with burial to follow at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery in Kaneohe at 11:00 a.m.
