Aloha! Our condolences to the Kaelene Puanani Ahu Rey family from The Valdez Ohana. Our hearts & prayers are with you in this difficult time. Please find comfort in knowing her spirit continues on in her family, her children, & her future generations.Kaelene touched my life; her spirit will remain in my heart forever. We made a lot of great memories together growing up & going to school. We shared our joys, sadness, excitement, & most of all, laughter. She made me laugh even through challenging times like when she got into an accident & had to have her jaw wired; sucking her chicken noodle soup through straws & mashing up the noodles & pieces of chicken when they got stuck. We used to help her find & collect big straws drive-ins. We would hang out at Windy's Drive-In (now Burger King) after school for milk shakes & root beer floats! The best moments were climbing up the mountain above Kapunahala by the water tank & have our "Calgon take me away" moments... we would sit & contemplate & enjoy the wonderful view of Kaneohe Bay. Until we meet again... Aloha! Wendy "Moo" Kau Valdez, Kapunahala Elementary, King Intermediate, Castle High School, Class of 1970##imported-begin##Wendy Kau Valdez##imported-end##
