Katherine Lam Wong's Obituary
Katherine Lam Wong passed away peacefully on October 11, 2019 at the age of 98.
She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on July 22, 1921 and was the fifth of eight children born to Charles Wing Chow Lam and Chun Lai Wun Lam.
She worked for the Department of Geological Survey.
Katherine was married to David C.L. Wong for 75 years, before his passing in 2016.
She is lovingly survived by her children, Alan (Hannah) Wong and June (Steven) Takekawa; four grandchildren, Tessa (Kyle) Gomes, Tanna (Bryson) Dang, Troy Takekawa, and Melissa (Kenith) Scott; and one great-granddaughter, Sophia Katherine Gomes.
Her friends and family will always remember her love of playing mahjong, bowling, golfing, cooking Chinese food and watching Korean dramas.
Her celebration of life and funeral service will be held at Diamond Head Mortuary on Wednesday, November 6, 2019; visitation from 10:30 a.m., with service and lunch to follow at 11:00 a.m. No flowers or gifts please.
