Keremoana Kaanaana's Obituary
KEREMOANA KAANAANA, 53, of Kahuku, beloved wife of Lee Spencer Kaanaana, Jr., passed away January 26, 2016. Born in Hamilton, New Zealand to parents John Arthur Elkington, Sr. and Waitohi (nee Wineera) Elkington, Keremoana was an Educational Assistant for the Department of Education at Kahuku Elementary School. She was predeceased by her father, John Elkington, Sr., sisters, Lisa Gay Tolman and Maralyn Elkington.
She is survived by husband, Lee Spencer Kaanaana, Jr.; sons, Tama (Mollyann) Kaanaana and Justin Kaanaana; daughters, Leialoha Kaanaana and Keremoana (Jameison) Wong; mother, Waitohi Elkington; brothers, John (Debbie) Elkington, Jr., Raha (Karina) Elkington, Jr., NgaHina Elkington, and Hohepa (Ray) Elkington; sisters, Jeanette (John) Katene, Maralyn (Gordon) Tilley, and Berenice (Randall) Au; grandchildren, Leona Kaanaana-Cozo, Lopaka Kaanaana-Cozo, Rebel Kaanaana-Cozo and Aotea-Masina Wong; brother-in-law, Jon Tolman; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m.-10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2016, at the Kahuku 1st Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (56-589 Puuluana Street, Kahuku). Service will be at 10:30 a.m. with burial to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park in Kaneohe. Flowers are welcome.
