I was deeply saddened to learn of your passing. Nobody could have ever been prepared for that. Though we cannot make sense of the why, I know that you were a bright light to us all while you were here and most especially to those you were close to. The vague memories that I have from high school were always filled with the silly things you would pull off in band and on the boys' swim team. We will always treasure the goofiness, inclusiveness and joy that you brought to the table.
Kevin, I met you in the cul-de-sac when you were in middle school. I was homeschooled and struggled with the click-yness of kids. When I would talk, you were always very genuinely present. You didn't care about cool factor, your warmth cut right through social conventions. Our lives only bumped together sporadically into adulthood, but it was always the same. You always looked into my eyes and it always felt like a warm hug. I'll always miss your light being a part of this world.

Kevin, my favorite memory of you is from our senior homecoming dance 2010. I came in late with no date and was standing watching everyone around me have a great time. You noticed I was ready to dance but of course being a teenager I didn't want to be the only one dancing alone. So of course, you came up, grabbed me by the hand and got me on to the dance floor and dance a few songs with me. Thank you so much for being the difference in the world that we all need. You're very missed <3
