Aloha,I had Kollin as a student briefly when he was a freshman at Kalaheo. He was honest and forthright and fun-loving. His picture brings back memories. Iam so sorry.So sorry this had to happen.
Since i moved back to the mainland i have lost touch with you my brother. I often search the news in Hawaii on the internet and that is how i found out about Kollin. I am so shocked and heart broken about what happened to him. I have been crying my eyes out thinking about him. Kollins picture on the internet brought back so many memories of him. What a wonderful person he was. Always making us laugh, always cheerful. I dont ever remember seeing Kollin ever in a bad mood. That was Kollin. Myself and many others will never forget him. Some of the best memories of my life were spent with you and your family riding our jetskis every weekend. The many BBQs you had at your place were really great times that i will never forget. thank you so much for all you and your family have done for me.
I know you are hurting, my brother I am in great pain to. I know there is nothing i can do to take away your pain. Please stay strong my friend. please give Jenell,Zack,Cameron,Domonic and the rest of your family and friends my deepest condolences.

Kollin will always be "mouse" to me. Mouse usually would be used to describe something small. While he was small in stature but was the exact OPPOSITE in spirit. Mouse had this laugh that just made you want to laugh too...even when you didn't know what you were laughing at. His smile did the same. I don't think I ever saw him without that kolohe smile. He was the kind of person who touches your heart no matter how briefly you knew him and no matter how long it had been since you saw him. The services today were beautiful, and how fitting for him to be the one who brought so many together after so long today. After the tears dry, the drinks run out and the years pass, our memories of him and that GIANT heart will be what carries us through until we meet again. He was, (and I hope he REMAINS WITH US as) the life of the party. We'll miss you, Mouse.

Kollin my friend, there are no words to express the
sadness I felt when I read the news and read all the
comments from our classmates.
We lost your presence far too soon, but I feel blessed
knowing such a wonderful soul is looking down upon all
of us.
My heart goes out to all of Kollins family and friends
- my goodness "Mouse" was loved! No worries brother,
you have many loved ones looking out for you and your
family. Justice will be served.

I didn't know Kollin as well as other people but like everyone else I
was shocked to hear of his passing so suddenly.  Mouse had one
of the best laughs that would make everyone else follow in with
laughing also.  He was a supportive friend that would attend
numerous gigs Josh (Marumoto) had.  Sometimes Mouse would
keep me company or check on me while Josh was playing since I
didn't know anyone. It really showed what kind of a person he
was to show aloha to someone he didnt know. He was a really
unique person that could stand out of the crowd but also have
people gravitate to him.  Prayers go out to everyone hurting from
this tragedy.  Kollin will be missed by many.  His spirit and
memories will be carried with his family, friends, and all those

I was shocked and saddened to learn of the death of your son.
Though I had never met him, from his photo he looked to be a
young man of good will and good humor. This tragic event
