Kurt Fend's Obituary
Kurt Fend, 83, of Honolulu, beloved father, grandfather and brother, passed away on January 3, 2017. Born on July 18, 1933 to parents Joseph Fend and Resi Keuscher Fend, Kurt was a bell captain for over 40 years at the Outrigger Reef Hotel and resident manager for 42 years at the Kealoha Arms Condominium. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Hannelore Fend.
Kurt is survived by son, Michael (Gabriela) Fend; daughter, Loretta (Herman) Monico; grandsons, Bronson Monico and Javon Monico; sister, Erika (Karl-Heinz) Weimer; brothers-in-law, John Takada and Ernest (Christina) Weicker.
Services will be held on Friday, February 3, 2017, at the Valley of the Temples Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Catholic prayer services will be at 10:30 a.m. with a reception to follow. Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park. Casual attire is suggested.
