Landy Robert Kimura's Obituary
Landy Robert Kimura, age 69, of Kāneʻohe, Hawaiʻi, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026, in the community he called home for most of his life.
Born on November 9, 1956, in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, Landy was the beloved son of Wallace and Isabelle Kimura. Raised in the islands, he carried with him the values of hard work, family, and aloha throughout his life.
Landy dedicated many years of service as a mechanic for TheBus in Hawaiʻi. Known for his skill, reliability, and strong work ethic, he took pride in keeping the community moving. His hands-on expertise and quiet dedication earned him the respect of his coworkers and all who knew him professionally.
Landy was a family man and a loving friend. He shared his life with his loving partner Cheryl Wong, their daughter Alia Kimura and their four legged son, Stitch. Landy is survived by his children: Mandy Kimura, Lopaka Kimura, Landon Moriyama, Chealynn Sunman and Alia Kimura and is a grandfather to Annelia, Cason, and Chandelynn.
Landy will be remembered for his quiet strength, dependable nature, sense of humor and deep devotion to his family and friends. His life was marked by humility, kindness, and a willingness to lend a helping hand whenever it was needed.
He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
