Laureana Guray Aragon's Obituary
Laureana Guray Aragon, 93, of Kapolei, Hawaii, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2020. She was born in Balaoan, La Union, Philippines on July 4, 1926. She lived a fulfilling and purposeful life, in which she dedicated to caring for her late husband, Fausto, her 6 children, 13 grandchildren (who range in age from 6 to 39), and 9 great grandchildren (who range in age from 2 to 21). Her legacy and her passion was her kindness and care for countless relatives and many others who found her so endearing. Laureana was a woman of prayer and she loved God with all her heart. Laureana and Fausto first attended Bethel Chapel in Waipahu and then Calvary Chapel West Oahu when her son-in-law Charles became a pastor. She was also a member of the Balaoanian’s of Hawaii.
Laureana was predeceased by her late husband Fausto Aragon, Sr. and first born son Rogel Aragon. She is survived by her children Fausto Aragon Jr., Irene (Charles) Couch, Jesse (Joelle) Aragon, Dante (Shara) Aragon, Lorna (Mark) Uesato and a niece who was like another daughter Aloha (Steve) Fontanilla. She was the 2nd eldest of 8 children and is survived by siblings Manuel Guray, Ceferino Guray, Editha Oriell, and Josifina Castillo.
Although we are saddened by her passing, we are uplifted knowing that she is now rejoicing in Heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ. At this time, we are able to extend our invitation in joining us at graveside for the burial of our matriarch. Burial is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 1, 2020 at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park. We ask that you abide by and practice social distancing guidelines. We will be celebrating Laureana's life on Saturday, July 11, 2020 and are hoping that any limits set on attendance will allow for maximum participation either in person or via live streaming options.
