Lawrence "Larry" Wah Piu Ching's Obituary
Lawrence “Larry” Wah Piu Ching, 88, of Kailua, Hawaii passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at his residence. He was born on January 19, 1927 in Honolulu, Hawaii to William Hung Choy Ching and Siu Yun Yin.
Lawrence was a sheet metal worker for the Federal Government and a United States Army Air Force Veteran where he served from 1946 to 1948 and attained the rank of Sergeant. He received the following decorations; Japanese Occupation Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon, and World War II Victory Medal.
He is survived by sons, Reuben Ching, Milton (Ivy) Ching, and Clifton Ching; sister, Vera Luke; three grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Irene Kong Ching and daughter, Nadine Corral.
Military Honors will be rendered at graveside for Mr. Ching which is scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 8, 2016 at the Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery Committal Shelter; 45-349 Kamehameha Highway Kaneohe, Hawaii 96744
