Leonida O. Oasay, 91, of Honolulu, Hawaii passed away on Monday, January 22, 2018. She was born to Apolonia (Dahilig) and Pedro Fernandez Oasay in Brgy. Napu, Badoc, Ilocos Norte, Philippines on April 14, 1926.
She was a retired custodian for Leahi Hospital.
She was preceded in death by parents, Pedro and Apolonia Oasay; husband, Miguel Oasay; grandson, Rudy Joseph Oasay, Jr.; and sister, Connie Tom.
Leonida is survived by her sons, William (Merlina) Oasay and Rudy (Yolanda) Oasay; grandchildren, Conrado (Rosebella) Oasay, Rosy (Jeff) Lumauig, Yvonne (Andy) Caday, Natalie (Gary) Tabios, Kristal Paakaula-Cox (Keoni Cox), Richard (Jiji) Oasay, Emerson (Liezle) Oasay, Melody (Bobby) Repuya, Emolyn (Nathan) Oasay; great-grandchildren, Andrew Jaizton, Analynne Chanel, Blaize, Jantzen Kyle, Dazsha Jaiztyne, Chloe Madison, Lauren Claire, Maddox, Azaleigh Hope, Ethan Xchyler, Azthan Marc, Peyton Aiden, Angelo, Kaipo Ka'hoku'o'ka'lani, Ly-Ann Keith, Cristina Lyka, Clyde Lawrence, Sherr Anthony, Jessica, Shaina, Mark Lienel, Humphrey; great-great-grandchildren, Caerus Jan and Daniel Joshua; siblings, Hedy (Silver) Bulosan, Benny (Rose) Oasay, Sr. hanai sister, Merlin Dahilig; and brother-in-law, Michael Tom
Celebration of Life service for Leonida will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018 at Diamond Head Mortuary; visitation from 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m., service to begin at 10:30 a.m., with entombment service to follow at 12:30 p.m.
