Leonila Villarta Buenaobra, age 81, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2026, in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi. She was born on May 6, 1944, to Elias Genosolango Villarta Sr. and Ma Asunsion Pelvera Villarta, who instilled in her the values of faith, humility, and hard work that guided her throughout her life.
Leonila made her home in ʻEwa Beach, where she was known for her warm smile, quiet strength, and unwavering dedication to her family and community. She worked for many years as a cleaner, a role she carried out with pride, diligence, and a strong work ethic. Deeply rooted in her faith, Leonila was a proud and active member of her church, where she found joy, purpose, and fellowship.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Antonio Buenaobra; her loving children, Anna Lissa B. Duenas, Glenda B. Delgado, Noel Buenaobra, and Stephanie Anne Rafael; and her nine cherished grandchildren, all of whom were a constant source of happiness and pride.
Leonila will be remembered for her devotion to God, her love for her family, and her gentle, giving spirit. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
