Leonora Arroyo Natividad's Obituary
Leonora "Nora" Arroyo Natividad was born in Baguio, Philippines on March 9, 1937, and was raised in Binalonan, Pangasinan. At the age of 18, she left Binalonan for Manila for work. She worked as a sales girl at Tesoros while pursuing her Bachelor's degree at the University of the Philippines. It took her many years to complete her degree, and upon completing it, she immigrated to the US and settled in Hawai'i in 1972. A few years later, she met and married Leonard Natividad. In 1977, she gave birth to their only child, Marievic. Nora raised her family in 'Aiea until she moved to Seattle, WA in 2017. Nora worked at the Pearl Harbor Naval Commissary from1980 until her retirement in 2001. She was very active in the parish church community of St. Elizabeth as well as in the Panagasinan Association and Binalonan Association of O'ahu. Nora moved to Seattle, WA to join her daughter where she lived the remainder of her days surrounded by family until her passing in May 2024.
Nora is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Natividad. She is survived by her daughter, Marievic (Thian-Poh Chong), brother, Jesus Arroyo, and numerous nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Nora will be remembered for strong life force, unwavering faith, compassion, generosity, loyalty and unconditional love.
Funeral service will be on Wednesday July 3, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. Visitation at 9:30 a.m. with Mass to begin at 11:00 a.m. There will be a burial to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.
