I was on my way to Honolulu this December and tried to find Leroy online. I was devastated to learn of his passing. We lived in the same apartment complex off Kapiolani in the late 70's. I moved back to the mainland however I was lucky enough to run into him once on a trip back. I heard his voice and instantly knew it was him. I've never forgotten his laugh. We had such fun together. He took me to Vincent's house once; he always spoke fondly of his daughter Danielle. I'm so sad to learn he's gone. He came into my life many years ago and he's just always kinda been in my heart.
I realize it was a few years ago -- nonetheless, condolences to his family. If anyone can let me know what happened, I'd sure appreciate it. Mahalo.

To The Family of Leroy Torres,
I'm sorry to hear about the passing of Leroy. I was just talking to Fred (Morris) about Leroy, it doesn't seem like 50 years ago that I used to "party with Leroy" or have a "heart to heart" talk with Rose when she slept over my parent's home. I hope Leroy has finally found peace and I will think of the good times we had and his reunion with Merrill (Mckillip). The three of us used to go to Makapuu every Sunday before I joined the navy.
