Leticia Badua Corpuz (Lety), 51 passed away on February 15, 2018 at her home in Honolulu, HI. She was born on March 10, 1966 in San Nicolas Ilocos, Norte, Philippines, to Cleotilde M. Badua and Ernesto Badua (Deceased).She was the 2nd child of 3 children. She attended the following schools: Likelike & Kauluwela Elementary, Sacred Hearts Convent and Academy, University of Hawaii Manoa, and Seattle University. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information at Seattle University and a Master’s in Education at University of Manoa. After graduation, she began her career as an Educator in Elementary and High School in Hawaii and Washington. She also worked at Kaiser in the Medical Records and Health Information Department for 8 years and 21 years at University of Washington Hospital. She retired after 21 years from University of Washington Hospital in the Medical Records Department and as a Teacher. She moved to Hawaii at the age of 1 and was raised in Honolulu, HI. She lived in Hawaii until she was 18 years old and moved to Seattle, WA for college for 5 years. After graduating from college she moved back to Hawaii in 1990. She moved back to Seattle in 1996 after finding out her sister was expecting a newborn. She lived there for 21 years before moving back to Hawaii in September of 2017. Leticia was married to Felix Corpuz on June 17, 1995 at St. Theresa Co-Cathedral Church in Honolulu, HI. She was a member of St. Elizabeth in Mill Creek, WA. Leticia would always say, “Where there is family, there is love.” Leticia was influenced by her mother Cleotilde by her "unconditional love", her husband Felix by his "loyalty" and sister Jean her "forever by her side". She was involved with Compassion Orphanage Donation Asia Organization. Her most important events in her life were, in 1967 when she took a boat from the Philippines to Hawaii, graduated from Sacred Hearts Academy in 1984, graduated from Seattle University with a Bachelor’s in 1990, graduated from UH Manoa with a Master’s in Teaching in 1993, married in Hawaii in 1995, moved back to Washington in 1996 and moving back to Hawaii in 2017. Leticia loved to travel the world. She traveled to the Philippines, Eastern Europe, Alaska Cruise and Disneyland. Leticia would always listen to “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” by IZ.
