Lillian Yurie Klee's Obituary
Lillian Yurie Klee, 88, passed away peacefully on January 23. The youngest daughter from a large family, she was raised in Kahaluu, Hawaii, attending local schools. Upon her graduation from Benjamin Parker High School, she attended Brigham Young University, continuing her education and earning her teaching credential at Winona State Teacher's College. Returning to Hawaii to begin teaching in Haleiwa, she met her husband Wallace who was stationed nearby at Schofield Barracks. Lillian devoted a total of 30 years with the Anaheim Elementary School District, 20 years as a Head Start teacher. After retirement, she continued on her path of community involvement, volunteering in the classroom and spending time with her grandchildren, as their #1 fan and devoted cheering section at all school, musical and sporting events. Lillian is survived by her five children; sons Kim, Art (Lynda) and Mark (Laurel); daughters Michele (Bill), and Lori (John), grandchildren Jennifer (Gabe), Gina, Kristin, Renee (Shawn), JC, Chantal, William (Jenna), Joshua, Madeline, Emily and Skyler; sister Nell Berberich; brother Edward Arashiro, numerous nieces and nephews and extended family. She was predeceased by her parents, Tokujiro and Ushi Arashiro, brothers Horace, Murphy, Fuku, Noboru, Kiyoshi and Joe, sisters Edna and Jane, daughter-in-law Cherie, and several nephews and nieces. A Celebration of Life will be held at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park chapel at 12:00 on October 22, 2022. Reception following.
