Linda Crittenden 74 of Haleiwa passed away peacefully on August 16 , 2024 surrounded by her loving family . Linda was born on November 18, 1949 in Southampton New York to Joseph and Marjorie Sizer Maddock.
Linda earned her master’s degree, showcasing her brilliance and dedication to education. She was an exceptional elementary school teacher in Hemet, California, admired by her peers and beloved by her students. Her passion for teaching and her unwavering commitment to her students left an indelible mark on many young lives. She spent a large portion of her life in Temecula California.
In 1978, Linda married her sweetheart, John Crittenden. Their love story was one of unwavering support and companionship, with John always by her side. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.
Linda was a devoted mother, friend, and wife. Her selflessness knew no bounds as she fostered children, providing them with a loving home and enriching experiences. She traveled with them to places like Niagara Falls and the Grand Canyon, creating lasting memories and instilling a sense of adventure in their hearts.
In her early years, Linda had a passion for skiing, embracing the thrill of the slopes. Throughout her life, she consistently put others first, embodying the true spirit of generosity and friendship. She was a friend to all, always ready with a kind word and a helping hand.Linda’s compassionate heart knew no bounds, as she dedicated her life to rescuing all sorts of animals, giving them the love and care they deserved.
Linda’s legacy of love, kindness, and brilliance will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing her. Linda is survived by her loving husband John, son John (Amie) and grandchildren Tamera and Ryder , sister Carole Maddock Clair and other family and countless friends who will miss her dearly.
