A Vibrant Beginning
Linda was born on September 27, 1944, to her loving parents, Ludvina Correia and Jonah Cummings. Growing up in a lively household alongside her four sisters and one brother, family was at the center of her world from the very beginning. In her younger years, Linda’s grace, charisma, and natural beauty led her to run for Miss Hawaii—a testament to the vibrant, confident spirit she carried throughout her life.
A Life of Work, Heart, and Home
Linda was a woman of many talents who brought an incredible work ethic to various industries over the years. Throughout her career, she held memorable roles at:
● The Dole Cannery
● GEM Department Store
● The Hale Koa Hotel
● The Academy of Arts
● Hawaiian Kings Candies
Beyond her professional endeavors, Linda excelled most at what she proudly called being a "domestic engineer." She possessed an innate ability to turn any house into a home, filling it with comfort, warmth, and laughter.
Her Greatest Joy: Family and Passions
Linda later married and proudly raised three children, while also opening her heart to a beloved stepdaughter. As a loving mom, she poured her entire being into her family, devoting her time, energy, and boundless affection to making sure her children always felt supported and cherished.
When she wasn't caring for her family, Linda found peace and happiness in nature. She was an avid gardener who loved tending to her plants, and she always felt a deep connection to the ocean, finding solace and joy spending time at the beach.

She was also the proud and adoring grandmother of 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Linda was a spectacular mother, a supportive sister, a cherished daughter, and a loyal friend. She lived her life with a generous heart and an open door, leaving behind a legacy of love that will guide her family for generations to come.

Family and friends are invited to gather to honor and celebrate Linda's life on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Valley of the Temples.
