Lisa Leilani Kaili's Obituary
Celebrating the Life of Lisa Leilani Kaili
September 13th, 1944 – March 13th, 2026
We celebrate the beautiful life of Lisa Leilani Kaili, born in Honolulu, HI, whose journey ended at Queens Punchbowl on March 13th, 2026. Lisa’s story shines with energy, love, and an unshakable joy that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Lisa recently embraced a new challenge, joining the State Department as a Clerk for Section 8. Even in the later chapters of her life, she welcomed fresh opportunities with enthusiasm, proving that growth and service never have an age limit.
A lifelong fan of outdoor activities, Lisa found peace under open skies and delight in watching birds. Her dedication to health and fitness kept her active and vibrant, reflecting the discipline and curiosity that guided her days.
Although she had no children of her own, Lisa’s nurturing heart poured into her family. As the “fun aunty,” she became a second mom to Joey Kaili, Frederico Kaili, Lesley Ann Bohanon, and to many of their children, sharing school events, celebrations, and everyday moments with the same warmth she once offered her brother, Walter Kaili.
Kind, supportive, and compassionate, Lisa made people feel seen and valued. Her simple acts of kindness—whether a listening ear or encouraging word—built a legacy of caring that stands tall in the memories of friends and family.
Today we hold close every hike, every laugh, and every lesson she quietly taught about living fully and loving generously. In honoring Lisa, we choose gratitude for a life well-lived and look forward with the resolve to pass along the same kindness she so freely gave.
