Spending majority of my childhood with my grandma, grandpa and uncle William are times I shall never forget. But as an adult I was lucky enough to live along side my grandma. We even shared the same room for a time. I enjoyed being around her as it made me feel like I was with my mom too. She loved her Ilocano music, the Filipino Channel and cooking her fried foods! She even loved Patingting (a homeless cat I took in). Grandma, I love you and will miss you dearly. Please send my love to mommy, daddy Fred, aunty Linda, aunty Naty and uncle Junior! You are all together again.
Too many fond memories to mention as a child but I am definitely thankful for spending time living with her for a few months as an adult. One instance that stands out is a time when I commented she cooked and ate lots of fried fatty food. She said to me “So what! I old already. I eat what I like!” And then we both started laughing! I will miss you dearly grandma! Please give my love to mommy, Grandpa, Aunty Linda, Aunty Naty and Uncle Junior!
I have so many fond memories with and of my grandma Lolita. As a child, I spent a lot of time with my grandparents and uncle William in Makaha. So many fond memories, too many to mention but she definitely cooked alot. Her pinakbet is my fave dish to this day. As an adult I had the privilege to live with her for a few months. During this time in Kalihi she cooked a lot of fried food. One day I told her, you eat too much fried fatty foods grandma. She literally told me “so what! I old already! I eat what I like, if I die I die!” I was like grandma! She just laughed! Luckily did laugh a lot together. She was always listening to her ilocano music while laying in bed relaxing and watching TFC, she’s the one that got me hooked on ASAP! Hahaha! I am truly going to miss you grandma! I love you lots! Say Hi to Mommy, Grandpa, Aunty Linda, Aunty Naty and Uncle Junior for me!
It was always fun at our Grandparents home in Makaha. All the grand kids altogether to play. The most loving, caring and sweet person. Her laugh and smile that I will always remember. I love & miss you so much Grandma! Forever in our hearts.
