Lorna Chu Kaeck's Obituary
Lorna Kawahinenohokuwahiwi Chu Kaeck, 89, of Honolulu passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. Lorna was born on
June 10, 1930 in Honolulu to Samuel Chu and Phoebe Hussey Chu.
Lorna was a proud graduate of Kamehameha Schools class of 1948. Singing was Lorna’s greatest passion in life. She loved entertaining and touched many with her beautiful songs and hula. Lorna enjoyed performing with her dear friends Ron Miyashiro, Don Conover, Loretta Kilbey and Voices of Aloha Formerly known as Gleeman Plus of Honolulu. Lorna loved performing at La Mariana Sailing Club, Elks Club and the Waikiki Yacht Club. Lorna was loved and adored by all of her family and many friends.
Lorna is survived by the loves of her life grandson Christopher Kaeck and fiance Carl Devoe, brother Sherwin Chu (Lenora) and by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins.
Lorna is preceded in death by her late husband Hazeldon (Sonny) Kaeck, daughter Gail Kaeck and great-grandson Christian Kaeck.
