Lorraine Tovio's Obituary
It is with great sadness to share the passing of Lorraine Tovio. Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary is honored to be serving the Tovio family.
Lorraine Tovio, age 78 died peacefully at home on September 25, 2021, surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was born on December 12, 1942, in Naalehu, Hawai‘i, the daughter of John Amaral and Elizabeth (Muragin) Amaral. Lorraine was a graduate from Ka’u High School on the big island and shortly after graduating relocated to Oahu.
Lorraine married the love of her life John Tovio in 1964 settling down in Honolulu, Hawai‘i. Lorraine was a homemaker, a mother of nine children and later became a laundry supervisor at Waikiki Marriott Hotel prior to her retirement. Lorraine was a dedicated caregiver; she enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Lorraine was proceeded in death by her husband, John, her sister Geraldine, brother Richard and grandson’s Daniel, Blaze and Blitz. Lorraine leaves behind nine children: Raphael, Johna (Vaosa), Judy, Joan (Kevin), Rita (Garrick), Ioane (Trina), Lolesio (Kamalu), Tavita (Beverly) and Reena; sixteen grandchildren: Amanda, Tiffany, Markeshia, Joshua, Briana, Brazzlynn, Ryan, Braylee, Lacey, Brooke, Tavita, Vanessa, Mason, Jacob, Blade and Lalelei; four great-grandchildren: Brixton, Kamailie-Marie, Tanielu and Mahina Lei. Lorraine was also survived by her brothers Johnny and Anthony and many nieces, nephews, step grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
