We celebrate the beautiful life of Lorraine Ann Puamohala Visaya, a woman whose kindness, generosity, and compassion touched the hearts of all who knew her.
Born on February 5th, 1936, in Waialua, Honolulu, Hawaii, Lorraine's journey through life was marked by love, family, and dedication. Her hardworking spirit led her to a fulfilling career as a Federal Worker Purchasing Agent at the Commissary, where she made lasting friendships and contributed with unwavering commitment.
A devoted mother and grandmother, Lorraine's family was her whole world. She shared a loving partnership with Vincente Saloricman. Together, they nurtured a family that became her pride and joy. She is survived by her sons Nolan, Roylan, Gaylen, and Aaran Tashiro; her step daughters Vini Sakai, Desiree Baba, and Tressy Jenzen; and daughters-in-law Lavina Forvilly, Sharon Tashiro, Melissa Tashiro, and Lucille Lapa.
Her legacy continues through her 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, whom she adored and cherished. Lorraine is also survived by her sister Sandra Kobayashi and brother Llewellyn Souza. She is reunited in peace with her parents Bernard and Blossom Souza, sister Lucille Naho'oikaika-Souza, and brother Dennis Souza.
A passionate cook, Lorraine loved bringing her family together over delicious meals, creating sweet memories that will be treasured forever. Known for her kind heart, supportive nature, and generous spirit, she was hardworking and compassionate, always ready to lend a helping hand.
On April 22nd, 2025, Lorraine peacefully passed away in Aiea, Hawaii. While we will miss her dearly, we celebrate the vibrant life she lived and the love she shared with all of us. May her spirit continue to inspire kindness and joy in the hearts of those she touched.
