Lourdes Agacita Machacon's Obituary
Lourdes Agacita Machacon, 88, of Waipahu, Oahu passed away on October 4, 2016. She was the only child born to Anastasia Ochinang (Patague) and Simplicio C. Agacita in Binalonan, Pangasinan, Philippines on February 12, 1928.
Lourdes attended Santa Catalina Elementary school up until she was in the sixth grade.
Lourdes was a homemaker.
Lourdes was married to Eligio Q. Machacon in 1944 at Binalonan, Pangasinan, Philippines.
Lourdes was a member of the Catholic Church and she was involved with the elderly activities like Zumba and the Barangay Cili Civic Club.
The people who were significant and truly special in her life were all her siblings, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Lourdes enjoyed traveling, picnic and farming.
Lourdes was a loving mother, devoted wife, hard-working and industrious grandma.
Lourdes loved dancing, she enjoyed listening to Kundimas, Dikanto Malipatan.
Lourdes was a commendable mom, dressmaker and a financial expert.
She was a woman of strong faith and instilled her values amongst her loved ones and was quoted to let everyone know to “Be Strong.”
She is survived by her sons, Mamerto (Melba) Machacon, Francisco (Chit) Machacon and Noel (Letty) Machacon; daughters, Potenciana (Vicente) Escala, Esperanza (Romy, Sr.) Tomacder and Josefina (Ely) Cuaresma; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Service for Lourdes will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at
St. John the Baptist Catholic Church; visitation: 9:00 – 11:00 a.m.; Mass to begin at 11:00 a.m. burial to follow 12:30 p.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.
