Lucy Leina'ala Visperas' Obituary
Lucy Leina’ala Visperas, age 78, loving wife and mother, peacefully passed away on November 14, 2018 at her home in Makakilo.
Lucy was born on February 28, 1940, to parents, Emil & Lucy Aikala Pornelos; she was the fourth child of six siblings.
Proud graduate of Palolo Elementary; Kaimuki Intermediate and Kaimuki High School. She studied Business Administration at Honolulu Community College.
Lucy had an unwavering faith in God which showed in her genuine kind and gentle spirit and great devotion to her ‘Ohana.
Lucy is survived by her devoted husband, Bonifacio Garcia Visperas; sons, Jason, Terry, Tony (Shirley), Jerry; and daughter, Leilani (James) Florendo. She was “Tutu” to her beloved 9 grandchildren, Noa, Nainoa, Kekoa, Nathan, Calyssa, Mahela, Ka’iulani, Oakland and Mia Florendo; younger sister, Juanita McIntyre and many nieces and nephews. Lucy devoted her life to her family and she was an "auntie" to all, immediate and extended.

We will miss but always remember your beautiful smiles, genuine spirit of Aloha, your “onolicious” cooking and generous heart for making people feel like "Ohana." Thank you for being the anchor in our walk with Jesus! You shared it daily and lived a life of Faith…You are absolutely correct Mom…“God HAS and will ALWAYS provide!”

Visitation from 5:30 - 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary Chapel in Kaneohe; Celebration of Life service begins at 6:30 p.m.
Aloha Attire requested. Final resting place will be private.
