Lynette "Lynnie" Kehaulani Tong's Obituary
69, Lynette "Lynnie" Kehaulani Tong, of Ewa Beach, passed away on August 23, 2018. She was born in beautiful Honolulu, Hawaii on the island of Oahu, on July 01, 1949. Lynette was born to her loving parents Francis Kalaukela Kapahua and Eleanor Yee Moe Pang. Of her 3 other siblings, she was the youngest of the bunch. She attended school at Kamehameha and after went to continue her education at Kapiolani Community College for Business. Soon after graduation she began her career as an Executive secretary for a Non profit organization. Lynette later married the love of her life, Joseph Tong Jr. on July 04, 1971 at Kaumakapili Church, where she was also a member of. Lynette was a very loving, gentle, compassionate and humorous woman, who in her free time enjoyed baking and eating. She also loved Hawaiian music and a couple of her favorite singers were Robert Cazimero and Hoku Zuttermeister. Family was of much importance to her, in fact the most cherished and important days in Lynette's life was her wedding day and also the birth of their 2 sons. Lynette is survived by her Sons: Billy Jon Kekoa Tong and Kaipolehuaokamoana Tong; Sisters: Pi'ilani Na'auao and Polly Muragin. Services for Lynette will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Kaumakapili Church. Visitation will begin at 8:30 am and Services will begin at 10:30 am.
