Lynne Rider Paresa's Obituary
Lynne Rider Paresa, 81, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Kailua, passed away on February 26, 2020 in Honolulu, Hawaii.
She was born on November 19, 1938, in Elko, Nevada to Marie and Charles Rider. She attended St. Josephs School of Nursing in San Francisco, CA, graduating in 1959. She was proud to be a Registered Nurse. While in nursing school she met her future husband, Air Force 2nd Lieutenant, Wilfred (Bill) Paresa. They eventually got married, had a family with three boys and had celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last August 8th.
Lynne spent many years volunteering at Castle Hospital and at St. John Vianney Church where she was a Eucharistic Minster and on the Bereavement Committee . She enjoyed traveling around the world and making new friends as well.
She is survived by her husband Wilfred “Bill",
sons: Anthony (Cathy), Michael (Cindy), David (Jan), grandchildren: Alston, Virginia (Aren Souza), Dana, Lindsey (Chelsie), Zachary (Courtney), Kimberly (Cameron Gibbs) and Jacob, great-grandchildren: Sonny, Micah, Charlee and Lyla.
Celebration of Lynne’s life will be held on March 12, 2020 at St. John Vianney Church located at 920 Keolu Dr., Kailua.
Visitation begins at 9:15 a.m. with Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m.. Internment will be held at a later date with immediate family.
Aloha attire is encouraged and family kindly requests no flowers.
