Master Chief Petty Officer Benjamin Reyes Benito, U.S. Navy Retired, passed away May 16, 2017 at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu. He was 85 years old. He was born in Mayontoc, Tarlac, Philippines, and was also retired from the United States Postal Service.
He is survived by wife, Marina; son, Ben (Sandra) Benito, Jr.; daughter, Evelyn (Keith) Kaneshiro; brother, Vic Benito; sister, Norma Thomas; stepsons, Marvin, Edwin, Nathan and Jeremy (Samantha) Gudoy; 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 19, 2017, at St. John the Baptist Church (2324 Omilo Lane, Honolulu, Hawaii). Eulogy and remembrances 9:00 a.m.. Visitation 9:45-10:30 a.m.
Mass will be celebrated at 10:45 a.m. with burial to follow at Schofield Barracks Post Cemetery. Family requests no flowers.
