Magdalena "Dalin" Bolibol Castillo's Obituary
Celebrating the Life of Magdalena “Dalin” Bolibol Castillo, 86, who passed away in Honolulu, Hawaii on February 23, 2014. She was born on July 25, 1927 in Brgy. 8 Sarrat, Ilocos Norte, Philippines to Dionicio Esteban Bolibol and Raymunda Ramos. Magdalena was the fourth of eight children. She attended San Antonio Elementary School. She worked with various agricultural and floral nurseries and retired after twenty years. She is married to Vicente Castillo and they reside in Kalihi.
Magdalena was a loving, friendly and caring person whose favorite past times included sewing clothes and sewing from scraps of fabrics. Her special friends were Rosalina Agmata Panogao and Criselda Agmata Rivera, among many others.
She is survived by her husband, Vicente Castillo; sons, Florante “Julio” Castillo (Melita Agmata) and Jhony Washington (Justina A.) Castillo; daughter, Zenaida (Prospero) Bolibol; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Baltazar Bolibol, Emilio (Cresenta) Bolibol (of the Philippines) and Floriano (Cresenta) Bolibol; sisters, Nieves Lagura (of the Philippines), Susana Edrada, Flora Ganal, Constancia (Venancio) Bumanglag; cousins, nephews and nieces.
Her visitation will be held 5:30-6:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary; with services to begin at 6:30 p.m. Additional visitation will be held the next day, Thursday, March 13, 2014 from 9:30-10:15 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Mass to begin at 10:30 a.m. and burial to follow 12:00 noon at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.
