Marcelina Dolliente Rabaino's Obituary
Marcelina Dolliente Rabaino peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 88. Born on October 3, 1935, in Santa Maria, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, she was the fifth child in a family of eight siblings, born to Saturnino and Antonia Dolliente.
Marcelina married her husband, Bonifacio Dasigo Rabaino Sr., at the age of 23, and she then embarked on a journey to Hawaii on May 1, 1958. From her marriage, she became a mother figure to three stepchildren, Marcy, Loretta, and Jerry, and had five biological children: Henry, Rose Marie, Michael, Bonifacio Jr., and Shirley Ann. Additionally, she opened her heart to adopt a son, Dante.
Her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren (28), great-grandchildren (41), and great-great-grandchildren (2). Marcelina's home was always open to all, embodying warmth and hospitality. She cherished her family vacations, especially her trips to Las Vegas to try her luck on the penny machines. In her leisure time, she enjoyed playing Phase 10, solving word searches, watching the Game Show Network, and indulging in retail therapy at Macy's.
Marcelina was the cornerstone of her family, affectionately known as the matriarch, who bound them together with love and strength. She was an advocate for education, motivating and encouraging all her family to continue to learn more. She often referred to them as her "Golden Family" and expressed gratitude for the abundant blessings bestowed upon her by God.
