Marcella “Marcie” Carmen Nera
71, of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away on May 15, 2021.
Marcie was born in Honolulu, raised in Ka’a’awa and is a graduate of Kahuku High School and Cannon’s Business College. She is a former employee of Title Guaranty Escrow Services, Aloha Airlines, the State of Hawaii and a long time volunteer of the Hawaii Theater Center.
Marcie is survived by life partner Duanee Francisco, sister Wandalou Kanekoa, brothers Ellis Kanekoa Jr (Zelda), Colson Kanekoa (Debbie dec.). Nieces and Nephews - Cheryl, Steven Jr., Sharon, Irene, Stanley, Kawena, Preston, Reina, Noah (dec.), Puali, Ainalani (dec.), Pono, Ho’oku, Keali’i, Pomaika’i, Harrison, Lilinoe, Ikaika and Kaleo. Grand-nieces and nephews - Justin, Katie, Jasmine, Jalen, Ethan, Davion, Ace, Dylan, Talon, Michael, Carter, Richard, Koliah, Faith, Keola, Isaac, Makoa, Kau’inapualei, Sensi, King, Athena, Alianna, Ainalani, Keale, Kiana, Kaiuana and Kaizen. She is preceded in death by father Robert Nera, mother Clara Helen Gonsalves, sister Irene Watson Hose (Rogers) and brothers Henry “Sonny” Kulani Watson III and Steven (Nancy) Watson.
Marcie was a pillar and a light for all and will be deeply missed. Public visitation will be held on Saturday August 14, 2021 at Valley of the Temples Mortuary, Valley Chapel from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
