Margaret Ann “Margie” “Peg” Fuss
August 1, 1926 – February 1, 2016
Margaret Ann Fuss, 89, of Honolulu, Hawaii died peacefully at Pohai Nani Care Center in Kaneohe on February 1, 2016. She was born in Hay Township, Ontario, Canada and moved to Hawaii in 1959 to pursue her career in nursing. A retired RN, Margie was for many years the personal nurse assistant to Dr. O. D. Pinkerton in Honolulu and later worked at Surgicare outpatient surgery center.
She is survived by brother, James Fuss, nieces, a nephew, and many close friends. Margaret was preceded in death by parents, Henry Fuss and Elizabeth (Cochrane) Fuss; brother, William Fuss, and companion, Isao Yanagida.
Margie excelled at handicrafts and was an avid sewer and seamstress. She loved to travel and made several trips abroad over the years. Though never relinquishing her Canadian citizenship, Margie was Hawaiian at heart and became an enthusiastic supporter of the local arts and culture of her adoptive home.
Donations in Margaret’s name are welcome at the Cathedral of St. Andrews Honolulu or Kumu Kahua Theater.
