Margaret K Oliveira's Obituary
Margaret K. Oliveira, age 93, passed away peacefully at home in Wahiawa on February 2, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on February 10, 1932, on the island of Maui, Margaret was raised in Nahiku Village, where she developed the strong values of family, faith, and resilience that would guide her throughout her life.
She later moved to Oahu, where she married the love of her life, Lawrence, in 1948. Together, they built a beautiful life in Aiea (Halawa Heights) and raised a family of eight children. Margaret dedicated her life to her role as a loving wife, devoted mother, and nurturing homemaker. Her home was always filled with warmth, kindness, and the comforting presence that made everyone feel welcome. She found joy in caring for her family and took pride in the lives and accomplishments of her children.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lawrence Ahole Oliveira, and her son, Charles Oliveira. Margaret is lovingly survived by her children: Laverne Kahai, Lawrence Oliveira Jr. (Judy), Maryann Matsuda (Larry), Ruth Yamaguchi (Jason), Joseph Oliveira (Stephanie), George Oliveira (Marissa), and Elizabeth Oliveira, along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and extended family members who will continue to honor her legacy.
Services will be held on April 11, 2026, at Valley of the Temples. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by services at 11:00 a.m. Margaret will be remembered for her gentle spirit, unwavering love for her family, and the lasting impact she made on all who knew her.
