Maria Apiado Sayson's Obituary
On October 1, 2022, Maria A. Sayson, 98 years old, passed away peacefully in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was born in San Fernando, La Union in the Philippines. She retired as a seamstress at age 86. She was highly skilled and passionate about her lifelong work. She is predeceased by Hilarion R. Sayson, Sr. (husband), Hilarion R. Sayson, Jr. (son) and Jason Nam (grandson).
Maria is survived by her children Alicia Nam (Michael), Reginald Sayson, Lanford Sayson, Roseanna Hanson (John) and Gloria Laroya. Her grandchildren are Aaron and Tyson Nam; Hilarion R Sayson, III and Blair Sayson; Andrea Sayson, Erika Choy (Kenny), Lauren Sayson and Noa Sayson; John C Hanson; Kimo Laroya, Jr (Caroline) and Renell Polhemus (Michael). Maria's great grandchildren are Skylee Sayson; Savannah, Isaac, and Dylan Choy; Ryden and Ella Ching, and Reign Sayson; Chae and Blaiz Laroya; Skylar, Peyton and Connor Polhemus.
Visitation starts at 9 am on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at the Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of Peace (1184 Bishop Street), mass to follow at 10 am, and burial at 1 pm at Punchbowl National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.
