Maria Asuncion Tamboa's Obituary
Maria Asuncion Tamboa, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, passed away April 24, 2017 at Pali Momi Medical Center at the age of 90. She was born in Waialua, Oahu to parents Blas Asuncion and Dionisia De Leon Asuncion, and was a retired custodian for the State of Hawaii at University of Hawaii Manoa Campus. She was also a seamstress, who sewed clothing mostly for her children.
She is survived by sons, Charles A. (Zenaida) Tamboa, Erlingier A. (Leovegilda) Tamboa and John A. (Lorenza) Tamboa; daughter, Evelyn A. (Roger) Pacariem; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; brothers Irineo (Caridad) Asuncion, John (Antonia) Asuncion, Menelio (Dionisia) Asuncion and Frederick (Florie) Asuncion; sisters, Soledad (Reynaldo) Faraon and Luzviminda (Lestor) Lista.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 2, 2017, at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary with a visitation from 5:30-9:00 p.m.; wake services will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Additional services will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017, at Our Lady of the Mount Church in Kalihi with visitation from 8:30-10:00 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park at 11:30 a.m.
