Mark Allan Swegler's Obituary
MARK ALLAN SWEGLER, 63, Kaneohe, Hawaii peacefully passed away at home on the morning of March 16, 2017 of ALS/Lytico-Bodig.
He was born February 14, 1954 on Guam.
At age 14, Mark was a rancher; then in 1972 began training as a master baker at Crown Bakery, Guam, with international master baker Albert Malinowski; later opened Crown’s sister bakery in Medford, Oregon; and was the last owner-baker-of Ken’s Bakery, Waimanalo, Hawaii. Mark was also a gifted propagator of orchids, anthuriums, cacao and coffee; a member of Windward Orchid Society and Unified …
Mark is survived by his mother, Rose Chun Swegler; sisters, Delle “Dee” Swegler (Mark) Nadler and Moana Swegler (Alvin) Luka; uncle, Franklin S.H. Chun (Norma); aunt, Angie Seegler; numerous nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his father, Delbert L. Swegler; and sister and brothers Haulani, Morton, Marshall, Morris Leal and Jon Lorin Chun.
Celebration of Life Service is 10:30am, April 4 at Oahu Mortuary Chapel, 2162 Nuuanu Avenue, Honolulu.
