Marnita Rosario Cacatian's Obituary
Celebrating the beautiful life of our beloved Marnita Rosario Cacatian. Born on January 15, 1980 in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Juanito Andres Rosario Sr. & Martina Villanueva Rosario & was called “Home” on June 20, 2017. Marnita, 37, was the youngest of five children – Luzviminda “Minda” Jose, Mariethez “Thez” Madamba, Melchor “Mel” Rosario and Juanito “Pablo” Rosario Jr.
In her younger years, Marnita resided in Kalihi and later moved to Waipahu. On September 18,2010, she married the Love of Her Life, Geoffrey Cacatian at St. Joseph Church in Waipahu. A few years later, they moved into their beautiful dream home in Ewa Beach.
Marnita attended Kalihi-Waena Elementary, August Ahrens Elementary, Waipahu Intermediate, Waipahu High, UH Manoa and Hawaii Pacific University where she later graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) Degree in 2006. She continued pursuing her career as a Nurse and worked as a Nurse Case Manager. She loved her career, it allowed her to do what she could do best, help other in need.
Throughout her life, she was faced with many obstacles, but her unwavering faith and her unconditional love for God continued to carry her through. Marnita was an active member of St. Joseph Church. She sung in the Church Choir during mass & was a member of the Church’s AGAPE Ministry.
Although she had lived a short life, she had accomplished many things. Among them, her greatest accomplishments were graduating with her BSN Degree, marrying the love of her life & purchasing their dream home together.
Marnita was a vivacious, strong-willed, generous, compassionate, reliable, kind & selfless woman, who loved life & everyone in it. She loved singing, dancing, eating, traveling & music. She loved all genres of music, everything from Country, POP, Soul, Ska to R&B. Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, Bruno Mars, Musiq Soulchild & Gwen Stefani topped her playlists. Marnita also loved spending time with her Husband, Family & Friends. She was loving and family – oriented. She always stressed the importance of “Family over Everything, ” putting God at the center of your life & always told everyone how much she loved them. She never passed up an opportunity to say, “I Love You.”
Though she is no longer with us here on Earth, She will remain forever in our hearts. We must always remember, “Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take but the moments that take our breaths away.”
Marnita is survived by her Husband, Geoffrey Cacatian; Parents, Juanito & Martina Rosario Sr.; Brothers Melchor “Mel” Rosario & Juanito “Pablo” Rosario Jr.; Sisters, Luzviminda “Minda” Jose & Mariethez “Thez” Madamba; 16 Nieces & Nephews; 13 Grand- Nieces & Grand-Nephews: Best Friend, Irish Acoba; Godparents, Al & Geri Simbahon.
