Martin gave us so much joy in his singing and playing. He was treasured by many of us here in the SF Bay Area and when he would come through we would go to see him perform with George Kuo and Aaron Mahi. We always came to the Merriott in Waikiki on Sunday nights to hear them when we were in Honolulu. Martin was a friendly guy and such a sweet man. He remembered our names and we enjoyed whatever he played so we didn't have to make requests as it was all good. We've been enjoying Martin since 1979 and before that we were fans of his dad. Thank you for providing this space so we could tell you how much we loved Martin.
My sincere condolences to the Pahinui Family! I was saddened to hear of Martin's passing! He has always been a great, great guy with a heart filled with Love! He holds a special place in my heart because of his simple kindness to me. Sincerely, Daniel
