Mary Bartholomew DeCosta's Obituary
Mary Bartholomew DeCosta, 92, of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away on Monday, October 8, 2018 at Saint Francis Hospice Home, surrendering to Alzheimer's Disease and dementia. She was born in Honolulu on November 18, 1925 to her parents, Daniel Bartholomew and Elizabeth (Foster) Bartholomew.
Mary worked as a clerk at and retired from St. Francis Hospital in the Pathology Department.
Mary joins her husband, David Francis De Costa, her first son, Gregory David DeCosta, and granddaughter, Lisa DeCosta.
She is survived by her daughter, Rosemary Lum DeCosta; son, Thomas Bernard (Marlene) DeCosta; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, November 26, 2018 at Star of the Sea Catholic Church; visitation from at 9:00 a.m.; Eulogy to begin at 10:00 a.m.; Mass at 10:30 a.m.; with Committal Service to be held 1:00 p.m. at the Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery.
