Gulosh, Mary Linda's Obituary
Mary Linda Gulosh, born on July 18,1949, in the state of Georgia, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2024, in Honolulu, Hawaii, at the age of 75. Mary was a beloved sister, a devoted dog and animal lover, and committed to her 45 year career in retail.
She had a long and distinguished career working in retail beginning her career in Portland, Oregon as a lead buyer for Lippman Wolfe in specialty wine, working with winemakers all over the world, and fine china and housewares. Her passion for wine led her to become a well-rounded sommelier, sharing her knowledge and love for fine wines with many. Adding in her favorite dish of pasta made for a wonderful evening with family and friends.
In 1983 she was brought to Hawaii to work as a lead Buyer at Liberty House in Ala Moana and then, finally, in 1989, she began and finished her 45 year career as Retail Director of the Marine Corp Base Exchanges at the Kaneohe Marine Corp Base retiring in 2014.
She put her heart and soul into her work and was proud of her career, as was her family.
She is survived by her sister Sandy Boardman (Michael), her brother David (Pamela, Annie, and Joe), and her sister Debra (Ashley, Emily). Mary's love for her dogs was evident to all who knew her, and were her beloved family.
A celebration of Mary's life will be held on January 15, 2025, at Valley of the Temples Trousdale Chapel. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by a service at 11:00 AM. Lunch will be served at noon, and inurnment will take place at 1:00 PM.
Mary will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
