Mary Jane Kaulalani Kekela Makua's Obituary
Mary Jane Kaulalani Kekela Makua, 76, of Honolulu, Hawaii passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2016. She was born to Joseph Kane Ili and Sarah Kekela on July 25, 1939 in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was a retired accountant for the Federal Government with AAFES (Army and Air Force Exchange Service) at Sand Island.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald Makua; son, Joshua (Marina) Makua; seven grandchildren, Sean Makua, Tiare Makua, David Makua, Maelin Makua, Lovelin Makua, Jevon Timoteo Ruis and Kuuipomakamae (Shannon) Scalf ; six great-grandchildren, Amaya Makua, Brandon Chong, Noheanani Chong, Kuuleiuiheleiolohiokalani Hashimoto-Ruis, Shane Scalf and Noah Scalf; sisters, Mele Ah Ho and Maydeen (Mitchell) Bailey.
Celebration of life services for Mary Jane will be held on Thursday,
May 19, 2016 at Kawaiaha‘o Church (located at 957 Punchbowl Street Honolulu, Hawaii); visitation from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m., service to begin at 10:00 a.m., with burial to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery.
