Aloha Dot and Jen,

From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank both of you for the
outstanding care you provided to mom during her last years with us.
Your commitment to making mom comfortable will forever be
remembered. We know that being her caregiver was not an easy task,
she was your life and you were hers.

Because of your love, mom's life was lengthened so that we could all
enjoy her for years to come. Children, grandchildren and great
grandchildren, all benefited by the sacrifice each of you gave.
Likewise, she too was able to enjoy the fruits of her labor.

To our brother Michael, a very big mahalo for your wonderful support
in assisting Dot and Jen in the last few months of mom's life. Having
you here, truly helped ease the strain of the delicate situation.

And last but not least, thank you Mom for giving us many wonderful
and fun memories to be shared with your future generations. 'Til we
meet again...

Aloha Dot and Janet,
Mom was an inspiration to us all. Herbert Jr. remembers when Mom lived in Akepo Lane,Tanaka's old
house. He was laying on the floor and looked up at the ceiling,seeing tape going across, he said,"Grandma,how come you have tape on the ceiling?"
Mom told him to keep the termites from falling on
everything,especially in the food. LOL!Herbert jr. told her,"Don't worry Grandma,when I get big, I going buy a house and you can come live with me." When Mom visited,and saw Herbert Jr's house,she told him how proud she was because he kept his promise to her. All my children have such warm memories.
You girls are ANGELS sent to MOM in the form of Daughters. Devoted,Loving,and Caring is more than any mother could have asked for.

Masako was a wonderful grandmother. She was always so thoughtful and spunky.She was just beautiful. I will always remember the times that she'd cook a whole bunch of food and her children and grand children would come over and we' d have a family gathering. A couple of times I was at work and Grandma would come by and bring lunch for me and my coworkers.The neighborhood children loved her..They called her Nana.She was just as cute as a button.She raised me a good portion of my life and always made sure that I had what I needed.
She picked out my clothes for school every morning and all the kids would tease me the way I dressed, cause my clothes were pressed and I always wore shoes not slippers. I didn't care what the kids said, cause I knew my grandma loved me. She was a strict Grandma, in the house at 5:00 and bathed and i watched all the kids play outside. I was sad, cause I was just a kid, but I didn't get in trouble and that just shows she kept an eye on me, very good. Because of her( my parents, aunty dot,aunty janet, uncle stanley,uncle Jay,aunty Juana and my big brother) I am the person i am today, not perfect, but good enough and because of such good guidance, I had wonderful and loving daughters .So, thank you. I could go on and on...but i won"t..it would be a book.watshi wa obaachan ni aitai to itsumo aishiteru to wasuranai.(I miss Grandma and always love her and never forget her)Thank you Grandma arigatou gozaimashita obaachan Please give Grandpas, Uncle Herbert and Queenie a big hug and kiss for me.
