Matilda "Maxine" Mary Ching's Obituary
Matilda “Maxine” Mary Ching, 88, of Kaneohe, Oahu passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2016. She was born to David K. Kauhane and Matilda Peterson Querobin in Honolulu, Hawaii on September 30, 1927.
Matilda was a retired contract specialist for the Army & Air Force Exchange “AAFES”.
She is survived by her sons, Damien (Roxanne) K.W.K. Ching and Darrit W.T.K. Ching; daughter, Star-nani (Howard) Peralta; five grandchildren, Kelley Ching, Megan Uht, Kaipo Travis Ching, Chante Ching and Jensen Kauihana Ching; four great-grandchildren, Mia Ching, Ava Uht, Kylie Ching and Kaleo Travis Ching.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bernard B.Y. Ching
Service for Matilda will be held on Monday, September 26, 2016 at St. Ann Catholic Church (located at 46-129 Haiku Road Kaneohe, Hawaii 96744); visitation from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.; eulogy: 12:00 p.m.; Mass to begin at 12:30 p.m. burial to follow 2:00 p.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery.
