Maxima was born on June 25th, 1945, in the Philippines, and left us on April 1st, 2025, in Honolulu, Hawai'i. She was the loving wife of Crisostomo Guzman and the cherished mother of Cheryl Raquel, Geoffery Guzman, and Christella Guzman.
Her siblings—brothers Paulino and George Taong, and sisters Rosenda Evans and Modesta Taong—shared countless joyful moments with her throughout her life.
Maxima's passion for cooking was evident in every meal she lovingly prepared, bringing our family together around the table. Her garden flourished under her care, much like the relationships she nurtured with those around her. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, like solving crosswords and baking, filling our home with warmth and delightful aromas.
Her love and generosity touched us all, and the memories we created together will forever be held close in our hearts. Maxima's spirit lives on in every meal shared, every plant tended, and every puzzle solved.
