Maxine Ululani Kaleikini Matsuura's Obituary
Maxine Ululani Kaleikini Matsuura, 83, of Las Vegas, passed away, June 21, 2017. Maxine, "Tiny", a name given to her by her mother, was born November 6, 1933 on Oahu, while Hawaii was still the Kingdom of Hawaii. Tiny was an avid traveler of the world, a breath of fresh air to anyone she came in contact with. She was an amazing singer who had dreams of becoming an opera singer. Though never singing professionally, she continued to sing well in to her late years. She ran a successful flower business up until she moved away from her island home to live out her days in Las Vegas. She leaves behind an abundance of family members. Tiny is survived by her husband, of 62 years, Frank Yoshio Matsuura; daughter, Kiko; sons, Winston and Rocky; and a list a mile long of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Diamond Head Mortuary with an Inurnment to follow at 2:30 p.m. at Nuuanu Memorial Park and Mortuary.
