Maxwell Steven Mokulani Kaniho Sr.'s Obituary
Maxwell Steven Mokulani Kaniho Sr., aged 83, passed away on September 9, 2024, in Kapolei, HI. Born on January 25, 1941, Maxwell was a dedicated retiree of the Honolulu Police Department (HPD) and continued to work in security at various locations.
A proud graduate of McKinley High School, Maxwell was known for his volunteer work at a local golf course, where he shared his love of golf and maintained a lifelong passion for sports and the outdoors.
Maxwell is survived by his brother Elroy, sister Lorene, sons Maxwell Jr. (Cheryl), James, Charles (Rebecca), and daughter Shelly (Teddy). He also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Gladys, and brothers George and Alvin.
A service to honor Maxwell’s life will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at Valley of the Temples, Trousdale Chapel. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, followed by the service at 11:00 am. A reception will follow until 1:00 pm, where family and friends can gather to share memories and celebrate Maxwell’s life.
