May Tsugiko Lopes' Obituary
May Tsugiko (Gushiken) Lopes, 76, passed away on July 17, 2017 in Kailua, Hawaii. She was born on May 31, 1941 in Koloa, Kauai to Hatsuko (Oshiro) and Akira Gushiken.
She was a graduate of Farrington High School and spent many years in the nursing field.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Akira and Hatsuko, her brother, Michael, and former husband, Ronald Lopes.
May is survived by her five children, Tania (Eulo) Baltunado, Lisa (Bill) Leleo, Alan (Jojo) Lopes, Jodie (Richard) Purcell, and Stacey (Manu) Kaiwi; grandchildren, Cory & Ryan Baltunado, Elijah "Ali'i", Kayla "Teeta", Shalei, Jennae, Shaedyn Leleo, Jeisha & Justin Lopes, Tierra Cabasag-Lopes, Bronson & Alyssa Purcell, Shannon "Bulla" & Tyler Kaiwi; three great-grandchildren, Jayden Lopes, Aubree & Bryce Baltunado; siblings, Roy Gushiken and Wanda (Frank) Terlep.
A celebration of life service for May will be held on Monday, August 7, 2017 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary; visitation from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.; service to begin at 7:00 p.m.
