Melodi Anne “Mel Mel” Keolaokalani Kalauli
On the evening of Friday, April 14, 2023, Melodi Anne, age 28, peacefully graduated to Heaven surrounded by Ohana at Queen’s Medical Center in Punchbowl.
Mel Mel, as she was affectionately known as, was born in Honolulu, Hawaii at 1:19am on December 26, 1994. She was the first born daughter of Sheryl Anne and Alexander Kalauli IV in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Melodi Anne was an alumni of the 2012 class of Castle High School on the island of Oahu in her favorite town of Kāne’ohe. She pursued further education at the Hawaii Medical College (HMI) achieving her Certification in Phlebotomy and Medical Assisting. After her education, she became employed at the Castle Medical Center Clinics in the La’ie and Kāne’ohe locations.
As Hi’apo “first born” of her Ohana she was the foundation and constant example to her younger sisters and cousins. Her passions were spending quality time and connecting with her family and friends. She enjoyed music, singing, and creating memories.
Mel Mel was preceded in death by: her “TuTu’s” Frances May Kalauli, Germaine “Nana” Kalauli, and Mae Lau. She is survived by her immediate family: parents Sheryl Anne and Alexander Kalauli IV, sisters Frances Mae (Peyton) Giles-Kalauli, Röchele Marie “Ho’onui” Kalauli, and Alexandria Jholie Kalauli, grand fathers Alexander Kalauli III and Keith “GP” Lau , her Grandma “D” Denise Caseria , Uncles Psalms (Shannon) Kalauli, Kamuela (Keni) Kalauli, Revelations Kalauli, Aaron (Ashley) Kalauli, Aunty Noreen “Nola” Lau, cousins Keith Allen “Popo” Lau, Michael Anthony “Mikey Mikes” Lau, and many who are affectionately known as her Uncles, Aunties, and Cousins.
