Dear Relatives and Friends,
Tia Milagring died on Easter (Easter is celebrated in the Catholic Church for 8 days, from April 24-May 1). She also died while the Church is preparing to celebrate the Feast of Divine Mercy and beatification of Pope John Paul II this past weekend.
These are no mere coincidences. Knowing Tia Milagring’s love of God and His Church, there can be no better time to “go home to the Lord†than this time. God called her to Himself one last time, and I believe that she – like our Mother Mary, said, “Let it be done to me according to Your word.â€Â
I’m sad that Tia Milagring is gone from this world. We’ll miss her caring ways, her gentle words, her love of family and relatives, and the many fond memories she left behind. But life is not ended for her; it has changed. Her soul lives on happily forever.
I’m sure she’s up there in heaven now celebrating with the Saints with whom she had great devotion. I believe there she’ll meet her parents Lolo Andres and Tia Uliang, Tio Eddie her husband, aunts and uncles, my dad (Paco), and other brothers and sisters who have gone before her. It will be one big family reunion up there, just like in Project 8…but better.
I will be remised if I don’t mention Tia Milagring’s great devotion to the Holy Face of Jesus, Divine Mercy, the Holy Rosary and many other devotions. She is, in a great sense, the ambassador of Christ to the world. She’s a true model of faith.
Tia Milagring loved Jesus very much. She couldn't help but talk to people about this love and His Holy Face. Now she doesn’t have to believe it. She knows! She now beholds the face of Jesus.
We continue to celebrate her life and the fulfillment of the promise for her at baptism. She is God’s beloved daughter. The Church claimed her for Christ. A true handmaid of the Lord, she now enjoys the great promise that was given to her by the Lord.
This promise was mentioned in Revelation 22:4-5: “They shall see His face and his name will be on their foreheads. Night will be no more, nor will they need light from lamp or sun, for the Lord God shall give them light, and they shall reign forever and ever.â€Â
Tia Milagring is dwelling in the house of the Lord. She’s resting in God’s favor, a place where there is light, joy and peace.
Thank you Tia Milagring so much. We'll miss you.
.
Let’s continue to also pray for one another, especially Odette, Bebong, Taddy, Chit, Chito and grandkids. Odette and family, thank you for sharing your mom with us.
With Christ's love,
Rod (Paco's son).
